The presenters are Jonathan Rauwerda, BA-II, QIDP, and Patrick Nicholson. Many individuals with Down syndrome excel in the area of social sensitivity, an awareness and perception of one’s immediate social environment. Though a valuable skill, it can also be associated with challenges. This presentation shares a behavioral approach to social sensitivity. Triggers, visual memory, and the role they play with the lives of people with Down syndrome are discussed.
