Whole group discussions allow the students to ask and answer questions, building on what their peers contribute. Facilitating a whole group discussion requires more than simply asking a question to the class and watching the discussion unfold. Discussions must be carefully planned to ensure that all students can actively participate and meaningfully contribute to the conversation.
