Individuals with Down syndrome may experience decline in skills for many reasons. In this presentation, Dr. Chicoine will discuss possible causes for decline in skills, including what has been called “Down syndrome regression syndrome” and Alzheimer’s disease. He will also describe potential treatments and strategies that can be used when supporting an individual with Down syndrome who is experiencing a decline in skills.
